Trauma Resources International
A 501(c)(3)

Mission Statement:

The mission of Trauma Resources International (TRI) is to build on existing individual and communal resources in areas of mass social trauma to support systems of healing and well being that promote resiliency and are culturally congruent and respectful through education and empowerment of survivors and victims, professionals and paraprofessionals, responding to the needs of survivors of war, combat, political violence, torture and natural disaster.

Who is TRI?

TRI’s Director, Amber Elizabeth Gray, has worked with survivors of human rights abuses and trauma for over 13 years, and has worked internationally and in the field of public health, healing and human services for almost 25 years. A clinician, activist, trainer/educator, program manager, researcher and artist, she has been contracted through her LLC, Restorative Resources Training & Consulting (RRT&C), to provide direct services, training, and guidance for new and ongoing programs serving survivors worldwide. She brings with her passion, commitment, education, extensive field and management, experience, and a dedication to the empowerment, restoration and healing of survivors.

A thank you to those who have helped in Haiti.

TRI is the non-profit “heart” of RRT&C. TRI was established so that services provided through RRT&C—direct clinical services, support programs, training and education, and program development assistance, can be provided to non-profits in low resource and insecure settings; veterans and service members returning to the US and those still serving; refugees, asylum seekers, and civilian survivors of war and human rights abuses such as torture, at no cost to the recipients. A common consequence of RRT&C’s work are requests from local health and mental health programs, community-based programs, non-profit survivors and human rights organizations, and programs serving refugees, survivors of torture and political violence, and US service members and veterans, for training, capacity building, direct services, and consultation on program development and implementation. The work of TRI enables these services, trainings and program support to be accessible and available to these individuals, organizations, and communities.
