Member of trauma team in Pristina, Kosova. Faculty for training program “Healing the Wounds of War.” Group facilitator for survivors of war, genocide and torture. Focus on working with traumatized children and adolescents. Field work with children in rural areas devastated by the war.

Responsible for organization, planning and implementation of public health needs assessment in post-war conflict zone. Assessed destruction and devastation in village health centers; wrote proposal for restructurization, staffing and training of local personnel. Develop and teach one credit “Current Topics” course “Restorative Therapy: Resource-based Approaches for Working with Survivors” for graduate level psychology students. Topics include innovative therapeutic models for working with severe trauma, strength and resource-oriented approaches, cross-cultural application of somatic psychology and interventions for working with traumatized children.

Provide mental health interventions, supervision and training for various children’s programs in Port au Prince and Cap Haitien, Haiti. Provide psychotherapy, movement and creative arts therapy, and community building activities for children traumatized by torture, detention, street violence, abuse and abandonment. Many of the children are developmentally delayed. Develop project proposals to request funding for human rights programs in Haiti.
